Collection of Hall Ticket/ID Cards: Hall Tickets/ID Cards have to be collected by the members well in advance or before 17th May 2026 between 16.00hrs. and 19.00hrs. at Competition Venue.

Eligibility


The students of members of GAJSMA are eligible to participate in the GAJSMA International Competition - 2026 by providing current year’s latest certificates of GAJSMA International and National Grading Examination Certificates.

Terminology


President = Respective Country Member of GAJSMA (Country Chief) – Free Registration

Vice President = Asst. to the Respective Country Member of GAJSMA (Asst. Chief) – ***USD

Participants = Teachers/Coach, Parents/Guardians, Siblings and the persons appointing by the Country Member as photographer and videographer (i.e. other than President and Contestants) are participants–***USD per head.

Registration


● Registration opens on 4th February 2026. (Click the link given above to register)
● Contestants and Participants should register through above link only and submit all relevant documents for successful registration.
● Complete all registrations on or before 11th April 2026.

Documents Required To Do Successful Registration


1. Copy of Grading Examination Certificates – current year latest certificate1or2
2. Copy of Passport – valid passport issued by government authority of respective country
3. Applicant’s Passport Size photograph

Photographer and Videographer’s Registration Fee


GAJSMA-Dubai will arrange to get all the Still Photography and Videography by electronic media to every member without any charges. But if any member wishes to appoint their own photographer and videographer then they must register their names as participants with the registration fee and also register as photographer and videographer with the fee as given below on or before 17-05-2026.

Please note: Still Photographs or Videography, done by Camera or Cell phone or any other similar devices are liable to pay above registration fee. The President of member country is responsible to pay their registration fee, if any unregistered person is found taking pictures or video during competition or prize distribution ceremony gives the right to seize the device, by the volunteers.

The seized cameras/mobiles or any other devices can be collected by the country member during post meeting on 17th May 2026 by paying above fee subjected to used device with the penalty of $***US per device.

Rights of Registration


a. Presidents and Vice-Presidents
1. On 16th May 2026 and 17th May 2026, every registration named as President.
2. Will be at Free of Cost to represent the Country, to take part in all the meetings and involve in official activities wherever needed by the competition organiser.
3. Vice President with registration fee - $***USD per head which includes permission to enter into two dinner Meetings (i.e. on 16th May’26 & 17th May’26.) and to enter into the competition hall as a Visitor
4. To have Two Coffee/Tea breaks with snacks and a Grand Buffet Lunch at the venue.

b. Participants (Teacher/Coach only)
1. On 17th May 2026, Participants (Teacher/Coach only) Registration Fee- $***USD per head includes permission to enter into the competition hall as a Visitor, to have Two Coffee/Tea breaks with snacks and a Grand Buffet Lunch at the venue.

C . Contestants (Students)
1. On 17th May 2026, Contestant Registration Fee-$***USD per contestant includes permission to enter into the competition hall to take part in competition as a Contestant, to have Two Coffee/Tea breaks with snacks and a Grand International Buffet Lunch at the venue.
2. The Contestants and Participants (Teacher/Coach only) are permitted to enter into the Competition Hall on 17th May 2026 at 8.00hrs only and can stay till the end of prize distribution.

d. Participants (Parents/Guest and Siblings)
1. On 17th May 2026, Parents/Guest and Siblings Registration Fee- $***USD includes permission to enter into the competition hall after 10.30hrs. and to have Two Coffee/Tea breaks with snacks and a Grand International Buffet Lunch at the venue. Parent/Guests are not allowed inside the competition hall during competition.
2. Parents/Guest and Siblings allowed to enter into the competition hall after the completion of examination (i.e. after 10.30hrs. on 17th May 2026) and can stay till the end of competition.

Corrections and Cancellation


● Corrections & Cancellations of registrations (Contestants and Participants) may be done on or before 07th May 2026 only.
● No corrections or cancellations shall be accepted after 07th May 2026.
● The fees deposited are Non-Transferable in any case.

Rules and Guidelines


● There are 20 levels. Each level is categorized according to age under 5 groups denoting A, B, C, D and E.
● Competition will be conducted according to Age and Kyu/Level.
● Competition will be conducted to all the Kyu/Level students at a time.
● If the contestants are less than 10nos. in Group A, B, C, D and E will be combined with next lower or higher groups based on the total number of students in a particular Group, the Super Champion will be awarded to the highest scorer.
● If the contestants are less than 20nos. in a Level all the Groups i.e. A, B, C, D and E will be combined together, the Super Champion will be awarded to the highest scorer.
● If the contestants are less than 10nos. in a Level will be combined with the next higher level, but the Super Champion will be awarded to the highest scorer of both the Levels.

Time Limit to each Paper


Paper -1 Soroban (Abacus)
Time Limit is 6min.

Paper -2 Anzan (Mental Maths)
Time Limit is 2min.

Evaluation of Marks


Award of Marks:
Marks will be awarded to every correct answer.

Results


● A team of qualified staff (other than GAJSMA personnel and members) will value and award the marks.
● Results will be announced before or at the time of the Prize distribution ceremony.
● The decision by judges shall be taken as a final verdict.

Awards


There are 3 categories of awards with certain eligibility:
● Contestants get felicitated with GAJSMA Championship and Winner awards which will be presented by Honorable Chief Guest/Country Members of GAJSMA.
● Members will be awarded special awards for their commendable performance to the organization by Honorable Chief Guests.

Declaration of Awards in case of equal marks scored by 2 or more contestants


1. The highest scorer in total (i.e., paper1&2 together) will be declared as Super Champion.
2. If two or more contestants score equal marks in their respective kyu/grade/level and group, the youngest contestant will be declared as the winner.
3. Further, if the youngest contestants share the same date of birth and have an equal score, the highest score in Soroban or Mental Calculation will be considered to declare as the winner.
4. If still the marks turn out to be equal the highest score in Addition/Subtraction will be considered and declared as the winner.

Talent Show


● Selection of Stage Performer shall be conducted Online only using GAJSMA App.
● Chance shall be given to all the participating institutes of GAJSMA Intl Competition–2026.
● Chance to participate more than one student shall be decided based on the number of eligible students available in each category; otherwise it will be limited to one student only from an institute.
● Talent shows shall contain Visual-Flash Numbers, Flash images of Beads in various digits (i.e.1 digit to 10 digits) on Add/Less, Multiplication and Division and Audio only sums on various digits (i.e.1digit to10digits) on Add/Less, Multiplication and Division.
● Selected students shall showcase their talents on stage after 2.00pm on 17th May 2026.
● Every stage performer shall receive an Honorary Award on stage after the completion of the talent show.

Code of Conduct


● The contestants are advised to wear their institute’s uniform until completion of prize distribution.
● First Short Whistle indicates the Beginning of exam time and allows the examinee to write.
● Second Long Whistle is to notify the Completion of exam duration.
● Before or after the exam contestants must keep their hands off the paper.
● All GAJSMA members and Coaches are accountable for any misconduct during the Competition.
● Cleanliness becomes our common goal to achieve. Please inform students to discard the waste in dustbins only.
● Ensure that the winners are present and turnout well when their names are announced.
● Hall Ticket/ID Cards to hang on shoulders at all time until end of the prize distribution.

Disqualification


If any of the contestants, participants or members are found to be ignorant on any guidelines will be taken as disrespect of the rules of competition and shall lead to termination.
● Appearing for the exam without a Hall–Ticket.
● Communication with any contestant or member present in the hall
● If the written answers are overwritten or not legible or submitted beyond the prescribed writing style.
● If the contestant appears for any other Kyu/Level due to any ignorance.
● If the contestant did not attempt any questions or submit wrong answers.
● Using any kind of gadget during the exam.

Important Announcements


● Contestants should keep their hallticket/ID cards unless the competition gets over.
● Contestant and Participants should keep the Hall tickets /ID card in good condition and visible to refer the ID number until end of the prize distribution.
● Without the Hallticket/ID card no one is allowed to enter into the competition hall.
● Will not allowed entering competition hall or to get the prizes if the Hall ticket/ ID card number is not clear or not readable.
● Awards will be handed over to the contestants only. Therefore, non-presence shall be considered as a cancellation of the prize.
● Please be informed about the complete online registration process. Student’s Passport size Photographs, Date of Birth Certificate, GAJSMA International Grading Examination Certificates are mandatory.

Due to following reasons hall ticket shall not be issued and not allowed to enter into competition hall :
1. When the registration is not completed on or before the last day.
2. Submission of incomplete and false information.
3. Incompetence in attaching any required documents at the time of registering.
4. Contestants can enter into the competition hall from 8:00a.m. to 8:45a.m. only, there after contestants shall not be allowed.
5. In case of an inevitable reason if there is any delay before check-in, shall be considered with a penalty of $**US per head irrespective of Contestant and Participant.

Important to Note -1


● All Parents, Guardians, and GAJSMA-Members are requested to see that the children are not carrying passports, not wearing very costly jewels and carrying heavy cash. Their belongings should be kept very cautiously. We shall not be responsible for any loss/misplacement. It is the immediate guardian responsibility for their safety.
● Talent shows will have Mental Maths Performance by a set of sums through GAJSMA App only.
● The services of trained volunteers will be attained to guide, help, invigilate and assist in all possible ways to ensure the smooth running of the competition.

Important to Note -2:


1. Members can collect the HallTickets / ID Cards on 16th May 2026 without fail.
2. On 16th May 2026 HallTickets / ID Cards will be issued between 16.00hrs.and19.00hrs.at the competition venue.
3. ID cards will not be issued on 17th May 2026 (please refer point no.1&2)
4. Without the HallTicket/ ID card no one is allowed to enter into the competition hall.
5. Please make sure the food token remains with you. Without the Token, food will not be served.
6. In case of an inevitable reason if there is any delay to enter into the competition hall on 17th May 2026 shall be considered to allow with a penalty of $**US per head irrespective of Contestant and Participant.
